May borrow
money.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Laurel Electric
Light, Heat and Power Company of Prince George's county,
shall also have power to borrow money and issue mortgage
bonds in such sums and form, and payable at such time and
bearing such rate of interest not exceeding six per centum per
annum, and not in the aggregate for more than ten thousand
dollars, as the directors of said company shall determine, and
shall also have power to increase the capital stock to a sum not
exceeding fifteen thousand dollars, whenever the directors shall
so determine; and the creation of such mortgage or mortgages
to secure the payment of such bonds, shall be authorized and
directed by a vote of the majority of the stockholders in per-
son or by proxy at any meeting of said company called by the
president of the company on ten days' notice, by at least two
insertions in some newspaper published in Prince George's
county, or at any regular meeting duly called; and any such
mortgage shall convey by way of mortgage to the trustee or
trustees, to secure the payment of said bonds, principal or
interest, the whole of the property of said corporation, real,
personal and mixed, together with all rights, franchises, incomes
and profits accruing and to accrue.

Effective.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 287.
AN ACT to add an additional section relating to the measure
of damages in actions for certain injuries to real property,
to Article seventy-five, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Pleadings, Practice and Process at Law," to
follow immediately after Section eighty-seven of said Arti-
cle, and to be numbered "Eighty-seven A."

|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an additional section, relating to the measure
of damages in actions for certain injuries to real property, be
added to article 75 of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Pleadings, Practice and Process at Law," to follow
immediately after section 87 of said article, and to be num-
bered "Eighty-seven A."
