CHAPTER 16.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
312 of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
" Frederick County," sub-title " Mechanicstown," and to add
an additional section to follow after Section 350, and to be
known as Section 350 A.

SECTION 1.Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 312 of article 11 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, titled " Frederick County," sub-title " Mechanics-
town," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as
to read as follows, with the following additional section to be
known as section 350 A :

SEC. 312. The citizens of the village formerly known as
Mechanicstown, Frederick county, are created a body politic
by the name of " The Commissioners of Thurmont," with all
the privileges of a body corporate, and as such shall have sue
cession, and by their corporate name may sue and be sued,
plead and be impleaded, grant, receive and do all other acts as
natural persons, and may purchase and hold real, personal and
mixed property or dispose of the same for the benefit of said
village, and to have and use a common seal, which they may
change at pleasure.

SEC. 350 A. And be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the word "Thursmont" be and the same is
hereby substituted for the word " Mechanicstown," wherever
the same occurs in said article 11, title "Frederick County,"
sub-title " Mechanicstown."
