CHAPTER 99.
AN ACT to. enable the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to appropriate a sum or sums of money annually for
the use and benefit of the Hebrew Hospital and Asylum
Association of Baltimore city.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
city be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
appropriate annually and to give for the use and benefit of
the Hebrew Hospital and Asylum Association of Baltimore
city, any sum or sums of money they may deem proper, pro-
vided the sums shall not exceed fifteen hundred dollars, and
all such appropriations and such gifts are hereby declared tu
be valid and lawful in all respects.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 100.
AN ACT to repeal Section 225, Article 20, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, relating to Somerset County, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That article 20, section 225, of the Code of Public-
Local Laws, relating to Somerset county, be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as follows :

Repeal.
|
|
|
The bond of any collector failing to comply with any of the
preceding sections of the sub-title of this article, shall be put
in suit by the County Commissioners, at the January term of
the Circuit Court for Somerset county, next after the said first
day of December, unless said collector shall show a good and
sufficient reason for a postponement of such action, but such
postponement shall not be for a longer period than one term
of said court; provided, however, that the Circuit Court for
