LAWS OF MARYLAND.


CHAPTER 645.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Annapolis Cemetery
Company, a corporation organized and existing in Anne
Arundel County, under the general corporation laws of this
State, or any similar company that may be organized in the
said County, to build and maintain a bridge over College
Creek, at or near the City of Annapolis.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Annapolis Cemetery Company, a cor-
poration organized and existing in Anne Arundel County,
under the corporation general laws of this State, or any similar
corporation that may be hereafter organized in the said county,
be and the same is hereby authorized and empowered, at any
time within two years from the passage of this act. to build
and maintain a bridge over the stream commonly known as
College creek, a branch or tributary of the Severn river, in
the said county, from a point at or near the foot of North
West street, in the City of Annapolis, to a point across the
said creek, upon any lands belonging or that may hereafter
belong to such corporation, and used or intended to be used
for the purpose of a cemetery; such bridge to be built with or
without a draw, as the said corporation may determine, or as
may be required by the County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel county, if the said County Commissioners shall deem
a draw necessary for the convenience of the public in the use
of the said stream of water.

Control of
bridge.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That at any time hereafter it
shall and may be lawful for the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel county to assume, by resolution or otherwise,
the charge and control of the said bridge, and the keeping the
same in repair, upon such terms and conditions as may be
agreed upon, or to condemn the same according to law.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
