erect and keep in repair said fences, shall maim, kill, or other-
wise injure any cattle or horse found on his property or
inclosure, shall, upon conviction, pay the owner thereof the
full value of such horse or cattle, with cost of suit.

CHAPTER 642.
AN ACT to refund to Charles H. Anderson a sum of money
erroneously paid into the State treasury.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, Charles H. Anderson, of the fifth collection dis-
trict of Montgomery county, was erroneously assessed upon
three hundred and twelve dollars for the years from 1877 to
1893, both inclusive, and did pay into the State treasury the
tax upon the same; now, therefore,

|
|
Appropria-
tion.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon
the Treasurer in favor of Charles H. Anderson for nine dol-
lars and sixty-four cents ($9.64), being the amount so errone-
ously paid by him, the refunding of the same having received
the recommendation of the treasury officials.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 643.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Harford
County to grant a pension to Tobias E. Stansbury, of said
county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Harford
county are hereby authorized and directed to grant an annual
pension, not exceeding one hundred dollars, to Tobias E.
