SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 82 of Article 21 of the Code of Public

CHAP. 516

General Laws of the State of Maryland, title " Conveyan-
cing," as enacted by Chapter 258 of the Acts of the said
General Assembly of 1904, be and the same is hereby
repealed, amended and re-enacted, as follows: All deeds,
mortgages, bonds of conveyance and bills of sale which have
been heretofore executed, acknowledged and recorded, but
not acknowledged, sworn to or recorded according to the
laws existing at the time of said execution, acknowledgment
and recording, or where the certificate of acknowledgment or
affidavit is not in the prescribed form, or where the record-
ing is not within the time prescribed by law, shall be and
the same are hereby made valid to all intents and pur-
poses as if the said acknowledgment and certificate thereof,
or affidavit and certificate thereof had been made, or the
recording thereof had been done, in accordance with the laws
existing at the time of their making or recording; provided,
the said deeds, mortgages, bonds of conveyance and bills of
sale in other respects are in conformity with the laws and

recorded in the records of the proper county or counties or
city; and provided further, that the recording of said deeds,
mortgages, bonds of conveyance and bills of sale, after the
time prescribed by law, the record thereof shall be sufficient
notice to bona fide purchasers and creditors; and provided,
further, that nothing in this section shall affect the interest
of bona fide purchasers and creditors without notice, who
may become so previous to the passage of this Act.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Proviso.

CHAPTER 517.

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to the conveyance of a lot of
ground in the City of Baltimore, by lease from George L.
Plitt and Katie V. Plitt, his wife, to the trustees of Salem
Church of the United Brethren in Christ."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given and
