consent
given.

granted to the conveyance of a lot of ground in the city of
Baltimore, situated on the east side of Gilmor street at the
distance of 93 feet northerly from the corner formed by the
intersection of the north side of Baker street and the east
side of Gilmor street, by lease from George L. Plitt and
Katie V. Plitt, his wife, to the trustees of Salem Church of
the United Brethren in Christ, dated the 5th day of April,
1905, and recorded among the land records of Baltimore
city, in Liber R. O., No. 2135, folio 145, etc.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 518.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 98
of Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Calvert County," sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating
Drinks."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 98 of Article 5 of the Code of Public

Repeal and
re-enact.
|
Local Laws, title " Calvert County," sub-title "Liquor and
Intoxicating Drinks," as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter
134 of the Acts of 1904, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows :
98. Any person violating the provisions of the preceding
sections of this Article, upon presentment and indictment,

shall, on conviction, be fined not less than two hundred dol-
lars nor more than five hundred dollars for each and every
offense, or be imprisoned in the House of Correction for not
less than three months nor more than six months, in the dis-
cretion of the court. And it shall be sufficient, in the trial
of cases for the violation of the provisions of this sub-title
of this article, for the State, in order to make out a prima
facie case against any party who shall be prosecuted for vio-
lation of the provisions thereof, to prove the procuring of,
or the possession or the exposing to public view by him of a
license for the sale of liquors, from the Internal Revenue
Department of the United States Government for the State
of Maryland; provided, however, that nothing in this Article
