CHAP. 495

CHAPTER 495.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the Baltimore County Com-
missioners to have Finger Boards placed at all public road
crossings in Baltimore County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners for Baltimore county

up finger boards at all public road crossings and at all points
where roads divide, to be printed or painted on said finger
boards the distance and name of town or village to which
said road leads.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 496.
AN ACT to incorporate "The Riverton Canning Company."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That John W. T. Webb, James L. Bennett, Isaac S.

corporate.

Bennett and Wesley T. English, citizens of the State of
Maryland, and their associates and successors and all others
that shall hereafter become stockholders in the company
hereby incorporated, shall be and are hereby constituted a
body corporate by the name of "The Riverton Canning
Company," and by that name shall have perpetual succession,
and shall be capable in law to acquire or purchase real and
personal property, to hold, or in any manner dispose of
same, to sue or be sued, plead and be impleaded in any
court of justice, to make and use a common seal and to alter
the same at pleasure, and generally to do everything proper
to carry into effect the provisions of this Act, or to promote
the objects and designs of the company hereby incorporated.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said company shall
have power to construct suitable buildings and to equip the

and vegetable canning business, to manufacture fruit and
