SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the authorized capital
stock of said company shall be ten thousand dollars.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the stockholders are

officers as they may deem necessary to properly conduct
the business of the company; such election shall be held
annually in the month of April, the president to fix the day ;
the president may also call an extra or special meeting
whenever he deems it necessary, or whenever requested to
do so by three or more stockholders of said company.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the said corporation shall
have power to pass all by-laws necessary to carry out the
purposes for which it is hereby created.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 497.

AN ACT to incorporate the town of Barton, Alleghany
County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the citizens of the town of Barton, in Alleghany

By-laws passed

county, shall be and they are hereby constituted and made
a body corporate by the name of the " Commissioners of
Barton," with all the privileges of a municipal corporation,
by that name to sue and be sued, to have and use a common
seal, and have perpetual succession.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the corporate limits of
