New election
district.

there is hereby created a new election district in Dorchester
county, to be known as the Seventeenth or Salem election
district of Dorchester county, and to be formed of parts of
the Third or Vienna election district, the Eleventh or Draw-
bride election district, and the Fourteenth or Linkwood
election district of said county, and the polling place of said
new district shall be in the village of Salem.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the boundaries of said
new district shall be as follows: Beginning at the bridge on

the county road at Little Brick Mills, and following the mill
stream southward to the Chicacomico river; thence with said
river southward to the Transquakin river; thence follow-
ing said Transquakin river northward to Dumpling Point ;
thence northward with the center line of the branch known
as Middletown Branch to the double bridges at Middletown ;
thence westward to the junction of the Linkwood road at the
Middletown schoolhouse; thence with said road northward
to the junction of the road leading from Salem to L'ink-
wood; thence with said road westward to the mouth of the
road known as the Red Lane; thence northward with
said Red lane road to the road leading from Little Brick
Mills to Hawkeye; thence eastward with said Little Brick
Mills road to the road leading from the old Baptist meeting
house to the Little Brick Mills; thence northward to the
place of beginning.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all persons now resid-

ing within the limits aforesaid who are registered voters in
any of the said election district from which is carved the
new district of Salem, and all persons residing within the
limits aforesaid who are registered voters in any other dis-
trict of Dorchester county shall be entitled to register in
said new district upon presenting to the officers of registra-
tion thereof their certificate of having been stricken off the
registry of their respective districts as now provided by law ;
and all persons that reside within said limits and who would
have been qualified to vote in any of the three districts from
which the new district is formed shall be entitled to register
in said new district, and all persons so registering in said
new district shall be entitled to vote at the said polling place
in the village of Salem at each and every election.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Board of Super-
visors of Elections of Dorchester county, in the year nine-
teen hundred and six and annually thereafter at the usual
