book or books kept for that purpose, charging each respec-
tive collector with the whole amount of the county taxes

levied in his district and such other money as may be due
therefrom to the county, and shall credit such respective
collectors by amounts paid in, and he shall demand prompt
payments from the collectors, make settlements with them
and report such collectors as may be in default to the com-
missioners; provided, that in settlements made with collectors
he shall not allow any delinquencies and insolvencies without
an order for such allowance by the commissioners; he shall
also keep an account in a proper book between himself and
the commissioners and charge himself with money received
from all sources, naming each source respectively, and shall
credit himself with amounts paid out, and shall keep on file
the order of the commissioners as vouchers for the correct-
ness of nis disbursements; he shall keep the commissioners'
office open from nine o'clock A. M. to four o'clock P. M.
each day, Sundays and holidays excepted, and his compen-
sation as clerk and treasurer shall not exceed twelve hundred
dollars per annum, to be fixed by the County Commissioners
of said Worcester county.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 447.

AN ACT to grant and declare the sanction and consent of
the General Assembly of Maryland to a sale and convey-
ance by Charles L. Fulton and Maria D. Fulton, his wife,
and Charles Herzog and Josephine Herzog, his wife, to
Waters Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church of
Baltimore City, a body corporate, its successors and
assigns, to three certain lots of ground in Baltimore City,
in the State of Maryland, and to the holding of said lots
by the said Waters Chapel African Methodist Episcopal
Church of Baltimore City, with full power to dispose of
the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the' General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland be and the same are hereby declared, given
