articles of incorporation filed on that date, in the office of
the Superior Court of Baltimore city, and recorded therein
in Liber J. B. No. 32, folio 380, etc., and said corporation
since that time has been engaged in its benevolent and char-
itable purpose in the treatment 6f persons afflicted with all
forms of tuberculosis without regard to creed or condition ;
and
WHEREAS, In the interest of the people of the State it is
important that its powers should be enlarged so as to give
its beneficent work greater efficacy; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

kind, That the name of the Hospital for Consumptives of
Maryland, of Baltimore city, described in the preamble of
this Act, be changed to " The Hospital for Consumptives of
Maryland."
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That the said " Hospital

for Consumptives of Maryland " shall conduct its operations
in this State and shall have power to establish branches for
the treatment of tuberculosis under its direction and control,
and shall have perpetual existence, and shall have power to
receive subscriptions, donations, devises and bequests of
money, or real, or leasehold or personal property, in trust
or otherwise, and of purchasing or otherwise acquiring
real, leasehold or personal property for the objects of its
incorporation, and shall have and exercise and possess all
and singular the franchises, rights, corporate powers, priv-
ileges and property of the said The Hospital for Consump-
tives of Maryland, of Baltimore city, and all legacies,
devises or bequests now or hereafter made to the said The
Hospital for Consumptives of Maryland, of Baltimore city,
shall belong to and be deliverable and payable to the " Hos-
pital for Consumptives of Maryland," and that a copy of
the resolution of acceptance of the provision of this Act,
attested under the corporate seal of the corporation, shall be
lodged with the Secretary of State within sixty days after
the passage hereof, and a copy of the same, duly attested
by the Secretary of State, shall be evidence in all courts of
law of the acceptance of this Act.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the board of
