CHAP. 74

Mayor and Common Council of Hyattsville of the legality
and result of said election shall be sufficient evidence to the
purchaser of said bonds of the legality and result of the
election, without further inquiry.
SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That for the purposes of
said special election, the Mayor and Common Council are

hereby authorized and empowered to hold the same at One
polling place, or at more than one, as it may elect, and to
appoint such judges and clerks of the election as it may deem
necessary. The polls shall be open from two P. M. o'clock
to seven o'clock P. M., and immediately after the closing of
the polls the ballots shall be publicly counted and return
made of the count by the judges of election under their
hands in a sealed envelope, accompanied with the tally
sheets of the count on the evening of the day of election,
or the day after, to the Mayor, who shall, as soon thereafter
as practicable, convene the Common Council, and in their
presence open the return or returns, and verify the count
from the tally sheets and announce the result of the election ;
and if a majority of the ballots cast shall appear by the tally
sheets to have been cast in favor of the issue of said bonds
the Mayor and Common Council may issue them. The
ballots to be used at election in favor of the issue of said
bonds shall have printed on them the words: " For the Issue
of Electric Light Bonds " or words to that effect; and the
ballots to be used in opposition to the issue of said bonds
shall have printed on them the words: " Against the Issue of
Electric Light Bonds," or words to that effect.
SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the " Evangelical Lutheran
Association of the Augsburg Home for Orphans and Aged
of Baltimore City," recorded July 8, 1893, among the
Charter Records of Baltimore City, in Liber J. B. No.
81, folio 463, etc., under the name of the Evangelical
Lutheran Ladies Society of the Augsburg Home for
Orphans and Aged of Baltimore City, the name of which
