SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the said Emmits-

burg Railroad Company may increase its capital stock to
one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) and that the board
of directors of the said railroad company are hereby author-
ized and empowered to borrow money and issue bonds in
the name of said company in such amounts as the board of
directors may deem necessary to carry out the provisions of
its charter, and to secure the payment of same by mortgage
of all or any part of its property rights, franchises, tolls and
revenues of said company, including such property, if any,
which may be acquired under the provisions of this Act.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the said Emmits-

burg Railroad Company is hereby authorized and empowered ,
to build, buy and operate along its line of railroad and its
extensions or connections, telegraph and telephone lines for
its own business and that .of its customers, and to charge
such reasonable compensation for the use of the same as
shall be determined by its board of directors.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the annual meeting
of stockholders for the election of directors of said railroad
company shall be held on the first Wednesday of each year,
as provided by Section 6 of Chapter 195, Acts of 1868, and
that the number of directors so elected shall be six, as pro-
vided by Section 2 of the certificate of incorporation of the
said railroad company, who shall elect from their number a
president, a vice-president, general manager, secretary and
treasurer, which several officers may appoint, subject to the
approval of the board of directors, such Other officers, agents
as may be necessary for the proper conduct of the business
of said company.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from date of its passage.
