for the use and benefit of sundry religious corporations,
denominations or sects hereinafter named.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

consent
given.

land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given and
granted to the following gifts and bequests contained in the
last will and testaments of John H. Maugans and George C.
Rhoderick, late of the State of Maryland, deceased, to cer-
tain religious corporations, denominations or sects as herein-
after set forth.
First. To the four bequests of one hundred dollars each

contained in the last will and testament of John H. Maugans,
late of Frederick county, deceased, duly recorded in Liber
W. B. C. No. 1, folio 224, one of the will records of Fred-
erick county, as follows: (1) One hundred dollars to the
Council of the Evangelical Lutheran Church at Wolfsville.
(2) One hundred dollars to the German Reformed Church at
Wolfsville. (3) One hundred dollars to the trustees of the
United Brethren church at Wolfsville. (4) One hundred
dollars to the Methodist Episcopal Church, about four miles
north of Wolfsville, on the road leading to Foxville.
Second. To the bequest contained in the last will and

testament of George C. Rhoderick, late of Frederick county,
deceased, duly recorded in Liber W. B. C. No. 1, folio 229,
one of the will records of Frederick county, of one hundred
dollars to the Council of the Evangelical Lutheran Church
Zion, of Middletown, Frederick county, Maryland, in trust
for the purpose of keeping in proper order the lot of said
testator in the cemetery of said church and for such other
cemetery purposes as the trustees of said cemetery may
designate.
SEO. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
