CHAP. 391

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the board of fire commissioners of the city of

Baltimore be and they are hereby authorized and empowered
to pay to Mrs. Esther Pistel, the widow of captain Lawrence
Pistel, a pension of $10 (ten dollars) per week, payable
weekly or monthly, at the discretion of the said board.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That in the failure of funds to pro-

vide for the payment of this pension, the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to provide for the same, either out of any monies
in the city treasury otherwise unappropriated, or to provide
for the same in the general levy; and
SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 392.
AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to the holding, by the Trustees of
the Methodist Episcopal Church in the Broadway Station,
of Baltimore City, a corporation, to the use of the Sunday
School of the said the Methodist Episcopal Church in
the Broadway Station, of a certain bequest of four hun-
dred dollars given and bequeathed to the said the Trustees
of the Methodist Episcopal Church in the Broadway
Station, of Baltimore City, to the use of the Sunday
School of the said church in the said station, by William
H. Shock, late of the city of Washington, in the District
of Columbia, deceased, by codicil to his last will and
testament, bearing date January 9, 1905, and duly pro-
bated in and recorded among the records of the Probate
Court of said city of Washington.

given.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assem-
bly be and the same is hereby declared, given and granted to
the holding by the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal
Church in the Broadway Station, of Baltimore city, a corpora-
tion, to the use of the Sunday School of the said church in
