WHEREAS, The said charter provided that the said corpor-
ation should enure fifty years, and whereas, the said charter
has expired; and whereas, the said Oheb Sholom Congrega-
tion of Baltimore city is still conducted as a religious cor-
poration; now, therefore,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That the charter of the Oheb Sholom Congregation of
Baltimore city, granted by virtue of the Act of Assembly,
made and passed at the January Session 1852, said charter
having been approved by William Frick, judge of the
Superior Court of Baltimore city, on the 25th day of Novem-
ber, in the year 1854, be and the same is hereby revived and
extended for forty years.

Charter
revived.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said charter,
when revived and extended, and the said congregation under
said charter, shall have all rights and privileges and be
subject to all the obligations which the said Oheb Sholom
congregation of Baltimore city had under the said charter,
granted on the 25th day of November, 1854.
SEO: 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 391.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Board of Fire Com-
missioners of Baltimore City to pay a weekly pension to
Mrs. Esther Pistel, widow of Lawrence Pistel, formerly
Captain of No. 4 Engine Company.

Rights and
privileges.

WHEREAS, Lawrence Pistel, formerly the captain of No.
4 Engine Company of the city of Baltimore, was fatally
injured at the fire on McElderry's wharf, which occurred on
the 16th day of February, 1899, he being buried under fall-
ing walls and remaining there for more than two hours before
being rescued and removed to the hospital, and never
recovered from his injuries; and
WHEREAS, During 34 years of continuous service he was
never before any board on any charge whatsoever; and
WHEREAS, His widow is now without other income or
means of support; now, therefore,
