four of whom shall serve for a term of one year, four of
whom shall serve for a term of two years and four of whom
shall serve for a term of three years; the said committee
shall decide by lot which of the said committee shall serve

tively; sometime during the month of January, in the year
nineteen hundred and eight and sometime during each and
every succeeding month of January the members of the said
congregation, qualified as aforesaid, shall meet at such place
at the said church as shall be appointed by the said com-
mittee, whereof due notice shall be given according to the
by-laws as aforesaid and then and there they, or as many as
may attend, shall elect viva voce four members of the said
congregation, qualified as aforesaid, who shall serve for a
term of three years.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the members of the said

person or persons whose vacancy or vacancies may have
occurred; and in the event of a failure by the members of
the said congregation as aforesaid to elect the said committee

said committee until they shall be superseded by the election
of a new committee, which may be done in any succeeding
month after the month of January, upon due notice being
