five per centum per annum, and said bonds shall have
written or printed on them a distinct reference to the Act
authorizing the issue of same.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That said bonds shall be redeem-

able, as follows, that is to say: five hundred dollars thereof
in two years from date of their issue, and thereafter annually
five hundred dollars each and every year until the whole
amount so issued shall have been fully paid, and to this end
they shall be issued in series and redeemable in their proper
order, and said bonds shall be sold after due advertisement,
by the County Commissioners; provided, however, that
none of said bonds shall be sold for less than par value.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners

shall cause to be levied and collected from the assessable
property in Calvert county a tax annually, which shall be
sufficient to pay the interest on. said bonds, and to redeem
said bonds as they severally mature, and the said tax shall
be collected in like manner as other taxes levied in said
county are collected, and when collected shall be applied to
the payment of said bonds as they mature, and the interest
thereon annually.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
shall cause to be advertised in a newspaper published in Cal-

vert county the location of said bridge, giving specifications
of length, width and height of said bridge, and of the
material to be used in said construction and manner of work-
manship thereon, and requesting sealed proposals for the
building of said bridge, said proposals to be received to an
hour named in said advertisement; said sealed proposals
are to be opened in the presence of at least two County
Commissioners, together with their clerk, and to the lowest
possible bidder the contract of building said bridge shall be
given; provided, however, the County Commissioners may
have the right to reject any and all bids if in their opinion
the bid is considered excessive in the amount specified
therein; should an award be made to lowest responsible
bidder and a contract entered into, then upon notice of the
completion of said contract the County Commissioners, or a
majority of them, shall make a minute inspection and criti-
cally examine the said bridge, or have the same examined by
an expert, and if the work has been done according to speci-
