SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 303.

AN ACT to pay John B. League for Indexing Libers 27, 28,
29 and 30 of the Proceedings of the Prerogative Court of
Maryland.

WHEREAS, The State of Maryland has had indexed and
paid for indexing of the 41 will books, 7 balance books, 39

libers of inventories and accounts, 126 libers of inventories,
74 libers of accounts, and 26 of the 47 libers of the testa-
mentary proceedings of the Prerogative Court of Maryland ;
and

WHEREAS, For rendering accessible the valuable informa-
mation contained in Libers 27, 28, 29 and 30 of the testa-
mentary proceedings, it was necessary the same should be
indexed, and which has been done by John B. League, under
the supervision of the Land Commissioner; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is

hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon the
treasurer of the State in favor of John B. League, of Annap-
olis, Md., for the sum of ten hundred and sixty-three dollars
and twenty cents ($1,063.20), out of any money in the
treasury not heretofore appropriated, to pay for indexing
twenty-one thousand, two hundred and sixty-four (21,264)
names contained in libers 27, 28, 29 and 30 of the testa-
mentary proceedings of the Prerogative Court of Maryland,
at five cents (5c.) per name.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 5, 1906.
