amend same at will; to make and use a common seal, and
shall have power to acquire by purchase, gift, devise, legacy
or otherwise, any real or leasehold estate or personal prop-
erty, and to hold, own, use, sell, lease or dispose of the same
at its pleasure, or to mortgage the whole or any of such
property in any way and to any extent that it may desire,
without individual liability on the part of its members; and
generally to do all and singular such matters and things as
may be necessary to carry out its objects and purposes, and
to exercise the powers and privileges by this Act conferred
upon it.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the object of said body cor-

porate is to provide and conduct an efficient and practical mode
of raising, collecting and distributing contributions for Jew-
ish charitable organizations of Baltimore, and for such other
charitable purposes as may be provided for by the said cor-
poration.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said body corporate shall

consist of such persons and organizations as shall, under its
constitution and by-laws, be entitled to membership therein,
and that the rights, privileges and obligations of such mem-
bers and of such Jewish charitable organizations which may
become affiliated with said body corporate, shall be deter-
mined by the constitution and by-laws of said body corpor-
ate and the board of directors of said body corporate, acting
under and by virtue of said constitution and by-laws.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said body corporate
