stock on which same is demandable shall, at the pleasure of
said board of directors, be forfeited to the company and
sold for its benefit, but the board of directors may remit
such forfeiture or may recover in the name of the company
such instalment by proper action at law, or in any other way
and upon such terms as they may deem proper.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the said board of directors
of the said company shall have power and the right to

adopt any route or routes for their said railroad between
Chesapeake bay and the Atlantic ocean as to them shall
seem most suitable and proper, and shall have power, when
necessary, to cross all rivers, streams or creeks by suitable
bridges or causeways, and also the right to cross the lands
of other railroads and to condemn easements therein.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said "Peninsula Trac-
tion Company of Talbot County " shall have power and

authority to increase their capital stock not to exceed one
million dollars and to issue mortgage bonds with or without
coupons attached in such amounts as the board of directors
may deem advisable for building, equipping and maintaining
the said road, its extensions and branches, and its steamboats
and barges, and it shall also have the power and authority
by their proper officers to mortgage the said road, its exten-
sions and branches, with all their personal and real estate,
franchises, rights and privileges, for the security and pay-
ment of the said mortgage bonds and other obligations of
the said company.
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to enable the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
to authorize the laying of street railway tracks on St.
Paul street, from Huntingdon avenue northerly to the city
limits.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
