hereby repealed; and that Sections 1, 2, 13, 19, 20, 21, 22,
23 and 24 of Article 25 of the Code of Public General Laws,
as repealed by Chapter 346 of the Acts of 1900, be and the
same are hereby revived as applicable to Prince George's
county; and that certain new sections be re-enacted in place
of the sections represented by the foregoing Chapters 346 of
1900, 567 of 1902 and 591 of 1904. Said sections to be
designated as Sections 278 to 291, both inclusive, of Article
17 of Public Laws, title "Prince George's County," sub-
title "Roads," and to read as follows :
278. There shall be a system of free public roads and
bridges in Prince George's county, and all matters affecting

the roads and bridges in said county shall be under the
control of the County Commissioners of said county, except
in incorporated towns, and except in so far as control is
conferred upon the board of highway commissioners created
by this Act.
279. The County Commissioners of Prince George's
county shall, at their regular levy-laying term, levy upon the

assessable property of the county a tax of not less than
twenty cents on the hundred dollars on all taxable property
which shall be assessed in said county, for the repairs, con-
struction and reconstruction of the public roads and bridges
in said county, and the expense incidental thereto, and
incurred thereby, and for carrying into effect the provisions
of this Act.
280. The clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's
county shall pay over to the County Commissioners all moneys

received from liquor licenses under Section 252 of Article 17
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Prince George's
County." The commissioners are further authorized to levy
such other sums of money as they may think necessary for
the opening of new roads, building new bridges and culverts.
281. The County Commissioners shall apportion the funds
levied and collected for the annual repair, construction and

re-construction of roads and bridges, as follows: They shall
pay over to the proper authorities of any incorporated town
in the county three-fourths of said part of said road and
bridge taxes that may be realized from the property within
said respective towns, and the balance thereof shall be used
for the repairs, construction and re-construction of the public
roads, bridges and culverts.
