SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 209.

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 18 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland, title
"Queen Anne's County," sub-title " Centreville," to follow
Section 46, and to be known as " 46 A " and "46B."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That two new sections be added to Article 18 of the

read as follows :

46 A. The said commissioners shall select from among
themselves a person to act as treasurer to said board; the

treasurer shall receive all moneys that may be collected from
taxes, fees, fines or otherwise by any law or ordinance,
directly or through the bailiff, collector or otherwise, and all
such moneys shall be paid out only by order of the commis-
sioners; and before he proceeds to act as treasurer he shall
subscribe to an oath before a justice of the peace for Queen
Anne's county for the faithful performance of his duties and
shall give bond to the State of Maryland with such sureties
as may be approved by said commissioners and in such
penalty as they shall prescribe, conditioned for the faithful
discharge of his duties and such other conditions as the
commissioners may prescribe, and said treasurer shall receive
annually as compensation for his services the sum of twenty-
five dollars.

Section B. Each commissioner shall receive annually as
