SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 5, 1906.

CHAPTER 208.

AN ACT to authorize and direct County Commissioners of
Montgomery County to construct and complete a stone
pike road over the county road between the town of Ken-
sington and the Wheaton postoffice in said County, not
less than twelve feet wide; and to levy on and collect
from the assessable property of the Fifth Collection Dis-
trict of said County an amount sufficient to complete said
road not exceeding one thousand dollars.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery county

be and they are hereby authorized and directed to complete
the construction of a stone pike road over the county road
between the town of Kensington and the Wheaton postofiice
in said county, not less than twelve feet in width, before the
first day of October, in the year 1906; said road to be
covered with broken stone, which will go through a two-
inch ring, to a uniform depth of four inches, and to be rolled
with a steam roller, to be covered with a layer of broken
stone, which will go through a one-inch ring, to the depth of
two inches in the centre, sloping gradually to one inch on
the sides, to be rolled with a steam roller, and then to be
covered with a top dressing of stone screenings or crushed
stone, to at least one inch in depth, all to be rolled with a
steam roller and sprinkled with water while being rolled, so
as to form a solid binding mass of Macadam, and after com-
pletion said road shall be kept in repair by the County
Commissioners as a public road and highway.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
of Montgomery county be and they are hereby authorized

sum not to exceed one thousand dollars, or so much thereof
as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act, it
being intended to authorize the completion of the road
