cents, and if the defendant shall demand in writing any wit-
ness to be summoned then the same fees shall be allowed
for the summoning of such witnesses for the defendant. The
constable for the sixth election district of Annapolis city
shall be allowed the sum of sixty dollars monthly, to be paid
by the County Commissioners of said county in cash or by
certificate equivalent to cash. The fees now allowed said
constable shall be. charged and collected for all duties per-
formed by said constable for said district in criminal cases,
but the same shall be paid to and collected by the justice of
the peace issuing the writ or trying the case and paid over
by them to the said County Commissioners when they make
their usual reports.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said County Commis-

sioners be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
pay to the constable for said sixth election district the
monthly salary of sixty dollars for the month of December
in the year nineteen hundred and five and for the month of
January in the year nineteen hundred and six, and the fees
earned by him for said two months shall be paid over to the
said County Commissioners.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
827 of Article IV of the Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title " City of Baltimore," providing for payment into
Court in certain cases of money awarded in condemnation
proceedings.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That Section 827 of Article IV of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore," be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
so as to read as follows :
827. Whenever any property shall have been condemned
in any form of proceeding for the use of the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, and in consequence of infancy,
insanity or absence from the city of any person or persons
entitled to receive any money awarded in any such proceed-
