CHAP. 112

official misconduct shall be proceeded against by presentment
and indictment in the Circuit Court for Washington county,
and if found guilty shall be fined or imprisoned, or both, in
the discretion of the Court; he shall receive for his services
the same fees as are allowed by law to constables for similar
services, or he shall receive a salary not exceeding fifty
dollars per annum, in the discretion of the Council.

CHAPTER 113.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
14 and 22 of Chapter 631 of the Act of 1902, title :
being an Act to amend the corporate charter of the town
of Hyattsville.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Sections 14 and 22, Chapter 631, of the Act of 1902,
be repealed and re-enacted, to read as follows :

Section 14. And be it enacted, That the Mayor and Com-

ernment of the town, for the preservation of the peace and
order therein, and for securing to the residents of said town
all rights of persons and property to which they are by law
entitled, for the surveying, grading, paving, repairing, drain-
ing, laying out, extending, opening, closing, straightening
or re-locating any of the streets, sidewalks or alleys in said
town, and may condemn or purchase the right of way for
any street or alley which they may determine shall be opened
to the public good, the process of condemnation to conform
as far as may be to the condemnation of property for road-
ways by the commissioners of Prince George's county as
authorized by law; for the removal of nuisances; for the
removal of obstructions from the streets, lanes and alleys ;
for the establishment of building lines and building regula-
tions; for prohibiting the carrying of concealed weapons ;
for prohibiting the discharge of firearms, firecrackers, tor-
pedoes and other explosives; for preventing swine, cattle,
fowls, dogs or other animals from running at large on the
streets; for licensing, taxing and regulating all useful trades
and occupations, and all amusements and theatrical exhibi-
tions for the purposes of raising revenue to meet the current
