Hewitt Company of Baltimore city for the sum of thirty-
seven dollars and fifty nine cents, being amount of moneys
erroneously paid by it into the State treasury for taxes, the
same having received the recommendation of the State treas-
ury officials.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 813.
AN ACT to repeal Section 105 of Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Alleghany County," sub-title
"Elections — Primary," as enacted by the Acts of 1904,
Chapter 508, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 105 of Article 1 of the Code of Public

ments, so as to read as follows :
105. All candidates for election to office nominated by the
party having the highest number of votes cast for the candi-

date for the highest State office at the last general election
in Allegany county shall be nominated by the direct vote of
the members of said party, and not by the convention or
delegate system (except as may be hereinafter designated) ;
and the place for holding the primary election for the candi-
dates of said party shall be the same as designated by the
board of election supervisors of said county for the registra-
tion of voters in each of the election districts and precincts
in Allegany county, and the said party casting the highest
number of votes for the highest State officer at the last
general election shall hold its primary election on the first
Saturday of September, in Election Districts Nos. 1, 2, 3, 7,
16 and 21 the said primary elections shall be held from one
o'clock P. M. until five o'clock P. M., and in all other election
districts and precincts of Allegany county the said primary
elections shall be held from two o'clock P. M. until eight
o'clock P. M.; and the board of election supervisors of Alle-
gany county shall provide for said primary election the voting
