booths, ballot boxes, stationery, the registration books or
correct and properly certified copies thereof and such other
paraphernalia as is used for the general elections, and deliver
and set up the same at such places of registration ready for
use ; provided, however, that the registration books or the
properly certified copies thereof shall be delivered to the said
registration officers, and to remain in their custody until
returned to said board of election supervisors. All candi-
dates for election to office, nominated by the party having the
second highest number of votes cast for the candidate for the

highest State office at the last general election in Allegany
county, shall be nominated by the convention or delegate
system, as has been customary with said party, unless the
county committee of said party as at present constituted, or
as it may hereafter be constituted, shall decide to hold a
primary election under the provisions of this Act, when and
in which event said primary election shall be held, in all
respects, as is provided herein for the holding of the primary
elections of the party having the highest number of votes
cast for the candidate for the highest State office at the last
general election in Allegany county ; except that said primary
election shall be held on a different day from the day pro-
vided herein for the holding of the primary election of the
party having the highest number of votes cast for the candi-
date for the highest State office at the last general election in
Allegany county.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 814.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to the Board of
Trustees of the Fifth Regiment Armory.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of five thousand ($5,000) dollars be and
the same is hereby appropriated to the board of trustees of

the Fifth Regiment Armory for the purpose of rebuilding
or repairing the roof of the Fifth Regiment Armory build-
ing, painting the same and repairing the damage or injury
to the floors of said building caused by the defective condi-
