and by the name of the " Security Trust and Banking Com-
pany " it shall have the right to organize under the provi-
sions of Chapter 639 of the Acts of 1904 within two years
from the date of this Act and subject to the same conditions
of taxation as if the said charter were originally granted by
this Act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 782.
AN ACT to protect the monuments and stakes employed in
marking State and County Boundary Lines, and to pro-
vide a penalty for the removal or mutilation of the same.

WHEREAS, The permanent boundary monuments and the
temporary stakes and marks necessary to the establishment

of the State and county boundary lines are often wantonly
removed, destroyed or mutilated, causing losses to the State
and delays in the location of the lines; and
WHEREAS, Some of the said monuments are found to have
been scattered throughout the State, far from their true
positions; therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

any person or persons who shall remove, break or otherwise
destroy or mutilate any monument or monuments marking
any boundary line between the State of Maryland and any
adjacent State, or between any counties of the State of
Maryland, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con-
viction thereof in any court having criminal jurisdiction in
any county on a boundary line of which such monument
shall have been situated when so removed, broken, destroyed
or mutilated, shall be fined not more than fifty dollars for
each and every offense.
And be it further enacted, That any person or persons who
shall remove, destroy or mutilate any temporary stakes or
