WHEREAS, James S. Price was duly appointed by the
County Commissioners of Worcester county, Maryland, col-
lector of both State and county taxes which were levied
upon the taxable property of the second collection district
of said Worcester county in the years 1900 and 1901, and
as such collector became duly qualified by executing his
approved bonds; and
WHEREAS, A portion of said taxes remain uncollected, and
said collector will be unable to collect the same unless his
time for the collection of said taxes be extended by law, and
it is desirable to extend said time in order that he may
complete the collection of said State and county taxes so as
aforesaid remaining uncollected,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That all taxes heretofore levied by the County Commis-
sioners of Worcester county for the said years 1900 and
1901, or either of them, on the taxable property in the
second collection district of Worcester county and not yet
collected by said James S. Price, may be collected within
two years from and after the passage of this Act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be lawful for .the

said James S. Price, collector as aforesaid, to proceed with
the collection of all uncollected taxes as aforesaid, and for
the purpose aforesaid his time is hereby extended, for the
collection of taxes as aforesaid, for two years from and after
the passage of this Act.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That nothing contained in the
preceding section shall prevent or delay the enforcing by the
Comptroller, County Commissioners or others interested, of
their rights and remedies.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 2, 3, 5 and 6 of an Act of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1898, Chapter 498,
entitled "An Act to provide for maintaining and keeping
in repair the public roads of Worcester County, and to
repeal all laws inconsistent therewith, so far as the same
apply to Worcester County."
