dollars, to be used, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
to pay for the first examination of its accounts and reports
and the publication thereof, herein provided for; and in their
levy for taxes made in 1908, and biennially thereafter in
their levies made for taxes they are hereby directed to include
a sum not to exceed five hundred dollars, to be used, or so
much thereof as may be necessary, to pay for the subsequent
examinations, audits, accounts and the publication thereof
herein provided for.

CHAPTER 746.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter
420 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at its January Session, 1894, which Act repealed
and, re-enacted with amendments Chapter 670 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at its Jan-
uary Session, 1892, entitled " An Act to Promote, Encour-
age and Foster Agriculture in the State," and to appro-
priate a sum of money therefor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That Chapter 420 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, passed at the January Session, 1894,
which repealed and re-enacted with amendments Chapter
670 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at its January Session, 1892, entitled " An Act to
Promote, Encourage and Foster Agriculture in the State,"
and to appropriate a sum of money therefor, be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
so as to read as follows :
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That with the view of promoting, encouraging and fostering

agriculture in this State, the sum of five thousand dollars is
hereby appropriated annually for the purpose of aiding the
agricultural fairs now existing, or those which may hereafter
be organized in this State, to be equally divided among said
fair associations, and to be paid them by the Treasurer upon
the warrant of the Comptroller of the Treasury, by said
associations complying with the provisions of this Act.
