of said corporation; receive money on deposit; to have dis-
cretionary power to invest at its pleasure, its capital and its
increment thereof, and all moneys received in the course of
its business transactions; and to take, have, hold and enjoy
all such estates, real or personal, as may be obtained with
the moneys aforesaid; and to execute instruments concern-
ing same; to collect ground rents, interest on mortgages,
dividends and incomes of all kinds, and to have management
and custody of all kinds of property on such terms as it may
arrange.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said corporation is

authorized to take, have, hold and enjoy all such estates,
real, personal and mixed, as may be obtained by the invest-
ment of their capital stock, and all other moneys or funds
that may come into their possession in the course of their
dealings and business; and the same to sell, grant, mortgage,
lease, improve and dispose of at their pleasure; and to
execute, acknowledge and deliver all deeds and instruments
of writing concerning the same.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That ten (10) days'

notice shall be given by publication in one or more news-
papers published in Easton, Maryland, of the time and place
of all annual or special meetings of stockholders.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That the directors shall

have power to declare such dividends or profits of the said
corporation as they may deem proper; provided, that no
dividend shall be declared when the capital stock would be
impaired thereby.
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 732.
AN ACT to authorize the Register of Wills of Baltimore
County to transcribe the indexes and dockets, and for the
proper filing of certain papers in his office, and to provide
for the payment therefor.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, The indexes and dockets in the office of the
register of wills of Baltimore county have become worn and
mutilated, and portions thereof are liable to become useless
