the same, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less than one hun-
dred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars; all such
fines shall be paid into the city treasury.

accountant as is mentioned in the Section 79 K of this Act

ment between said city and any of the officers herein
mentioned. The said certified public accountant shall be
paid out of the city treasury for his services herein pre-
scribed a sum not to exceed the sum of ten dollars for each
day he is actually occupied in said work; provided, however,
that for the year 1906 not more than one hundred days
shall be allowed for said work, and each year thereafter not
more than thirty days shall be allowed for said work. The
Mayor shall have full power to regulate the duties of said
certified public accountant; and before he shall be entitled to
payment for said services he shall make out an account
against said city showing the exact number of days he was
actually engaged in said work, and make oath thereto in due
form of law; said account of said certified public accountant
shall then be presented to the City Council, and if found to
be correct shall be ordered to be paid out of the money in
the city treasury.

And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 706.

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and devises
contained in the last wills and testaments of certain per-
sons late of the State of Maryland, deceased, and also to
certain gifts, grants, sales, leases and deeds made by
various persons in this State, to and for the use and benefit
of sundry ministerial persons, religious denominations,
corpprations or sects, and to certain charitable institutions.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
