SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 79 and 80 of the Code of Public Local

re-enact.

Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title "Birds,
Game and Foxes," as enacted by Chapter 79 of the Acts of
1904, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, so as to read as follows :

79. It shall not be lawful for any person to in any manner
catch, kill or have in possession in the limits of Anne Arun-

del county, in this State, any partridge, quail, English or
Mongolian pheasant, American pheasant or rabbit, between
the 25th day of December and the 14th day of November
following, both days inclusive, in each and every year; or
any woodcock, between the 16th day of August and the 13th
day of June following, both days inclusive, in each and
every year; or any squirrel, between the 24th day of Decem-
ber and the 31st day of August following, both days inclu-
sive, in each and every year; or any plover or snipe, between
the 16th day of August and the 1st day of March following,
both days inclusive, in each and every year; or any robin,
thrush or oriole at any time; or any raccoon, between
the 1st day of February and the 1st day of October
following, both days inclusive, in each and every year ;
or any muskrat, between the 1st day of March and the 1st
day of December following, both days inclusive, in each and
every year; and it shall be unlawful for any person at any time
to dig into and destroy any muskrat home or den; provided,
however, that nothing herein contained is intended to pre-
vent any person at any time from digging out muskrats
making dens in or tunneling into a mill dam or from killing
them at any time when depredating on their property; and
it shall not be lawful for any person to sell, expose or offer
for sale any of the above-mentioned birds, at any time, or
any rabbit, squirrel, raccoon or muskrat, except during the
open season for the same, or to carry out or cause to be
carried out of the limits of the aforesaid county any bird or
animal mentioned in this section, either dead or alive; nor
shall it be lawful for any agent for any express company,
railway or steamboat line to receive the same for shipment.
