SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 582.

AN ACT to provide for the punishment of all persons who
aid minors in obtaining intoxicating liquors from inn
keepers and other persons engaged in the sale of the same,
and also to provide for the punishment of minors who
falsely represent themselves to be twenty-one years of age
or over, in order to obtain intoxicating liquors from inn
keepers or others engaged in the sale of same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That any person who shall knowingly, wilfully or
falsely represent to any licensed inn keeper, restaurant
keeper or other person or persons engaged in the sale of
intoxicating liquors, any minor to be of full age for the pur-
pose of inducing any such licensed inn keeper, restaurant
keeper or other person or persons engaged in the sale of
intoxicating liquors to sell or furnish any intoxicating liquors
to said minors shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof shall be sentenced to pay a fine of
not more than twenty-five dollars ($25) or undergo an
imprisonment in jail for a period not exceeding thirty days ;
or both, in the discretion of the court.

competent jurisdiction shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not
more than twenty-five dollars ($25) or imprisoned in jail for
a period not exceeding thirty days.
