CHAP. 561

Assessment of
real and
personal
property.

town, subject to assessments for State and county purposes ;
provided, that no land included within the corporate limits
of said town, except houses and gardens, shall be taxed for
corporate purposes so long as said land shall be used for
agricultural purposes, which assessment shall not exceed the
assessment of the same for State and county taxes; and the
commissioners may levy a tax thereon not exceeding in any
one year twenty cents on each one hundred dollars' worth of
assessable property.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 562.
AN ACT to add additional sections to article eleven of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Frederick County,"
sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks," to follow
Section 311 O, and to be known as Sections 311 P, 311 Q,
311 R, 311 S, 311 T, 311 U, prohibiting the sale of spiritu-
ous and fermented liquors and lager beer outside of the
corporate limits of Burkittsville, in Burkittsville District in
said Frederick County, and to regulate the sale of spirit-
uous and fermented liquors in the corporate limits of
Burkittsville, in Frederick County, and imposing penalties
for violation of said section.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the following sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 11 of the Code of Public Laws, title

New sections
added.

"Frederick County," sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating
Drinks," to follow Section 311 O, and to be known as Sec-
tions 311 P, 311 Q, 311 R, 311 S, 311 T, 311 U, prohibiting
the sale of spirituous and fermented liquors in Burkittsville
district outside the corporate limits of Burkittsville, regulat-
ing the sale of spirituous and fermented liquors within the
corporate limits of Burkittsville in Frederick county, and
imposing penalties for the violation of said sections.
Section 311 P. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall not be lawful, for the clerk of the
Circuit Court for Frederick county to issue a license to any
