that proportion of the entire county levy for the entire roads
which the total real property assessed within the limits of
the town of Glen Echo shall be to the whole amount of
assessed property in Montgomery county, so that the town
of Glen Echo shall receive and disburse for the maintenance
of the streets of said town the amout levied for the repair
of roads by the said County Commissioners of Montgomery
county upon the real property within the corporate limits of
the town of Glen Echo.
SEC. 23. And be it enacted, That this Act is hereby declared

to be a public Act, and may be used in evidence in all courts
of this State without proof.

SEC. 24. And be it enacted, That the neglect or non-use :
shall not work a forfeiture of this charter.
SEC. 25. And be it enacted, That all Acts and parts of

a forfeiture.

|
Acts inconsistent with any provisions of this Act are hereby
repealed; provided; however, that nothing herein contained
shall be taken to authorize the licensing, permitting or doing
of anything prohibited or punished under the general laws
of this State or the local laws applicable to Montgomery
county.
SEC. 26. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by ike General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 13 of Chapter 652 of the Acts of the

to incorporate the town of Burkittsville, in Frederick County,"
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendment, so as to read as follows :
13. The commissioners may, as often as they may deem
advisable, cause an assessment to be made of all the real
and personal property within the corporate limits of said
