1892, and recorded among said land records in Liber J.
B., No. 1377, folio 238, etc. A deed from John T. Milburn
to the said above named grantees, dated January 25, 1892,
and recorded among said land records in Liber J. B.,
No. 1378, folio 94, etc. A deed from the last named gran-
tees to Frederick Douglas, dated January 20, 1892, and
recorded among said land records in Liber J. B., No.
1378, folio 99, etc. A deed from the Centennial Methodist
Episcopal Church of Baltimore city, a corporation, to
Rosetta D. Sprague, Lewis Douglas, Robert S. Douglas and
Charles Douglas, dated January 3, 1906, and intended to
be recorded among said land records.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 539.
AN ACT to erect a suitable monument in the City of Balti-
more to commemorate the patriotism and heroic courage
of the sons of Maryland who, on land and sea, fought for
the preservation of the Federal Union in the Civil War,
1861-5.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

land, That the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars be and
the same is hereby appropriated out of any money in the
treasury of Maryland not otherwise appropriated for the
erection of a suitable monument in the city of Baltimore to
commemorate the valor and courage of those sons of Mary-
land who, on land and sea, fought for the preservation of
the Federal Union, Civil War, 1861-5.
SEC. 2. That the said monument shall have suitable
