CHAPTER 574.
AN ACT to incorporate the Jackson Landing Gunning and
Fishing Club of Prince George's County, Maryland.

CHAP. 674.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That James F. Oyster, H. Clay Browning, George
F. Zeh, Charles Deeitz, George A. Wise, E. R. Ford, Robert
W. Braake, Charles C. West, C. A. M. Wells, John Thomas
McKenzie, E. P. Watkins, F. K Raymond, William Berens,
George M. Burdine, J. A. Brown, James Gallagher, Harry K.
Bliss, W. S. Duvall, H. M. Dickinson, Charles Wedmayer,
Dr. H. D. Fry, Dr. J. E. Jones, A. Fred. Jones and Dr. E.
M. Hasbrauck, and such other persons as may hereafter be
associated with them, and their successors, be and they are
hereby constituted a body corporate by the name of "The
Jackson Landing Gunning and Fishing Club of Prince
George's County, Maryland," the purposes of whose existence
are : the social intercourse of its members, the participation in
field sports, and their co-operation in the stocking and pre-
serving of game, birds and animals in Anne Arundel and
Prince George's counties, Maryland; the principal office of
said corporation shall be at Jackson's Landing, in Prince
George's ceunty. Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said corporation, by its
corporate name, may sue and be sued, answer and defend in
any Court of Law or Equity, and may ordain and establish by-
laws, rules and regulations as may appear necessary or proper
for conducting its concerns, and shall not be contrary to law,
and the same may change, alter and amend as shall appear
proper ; and may have, use, and at pleasure change a common
seal, and generally may do any act or other thing necessary or
proper to carry into effect the provisions of this Act and pro-
mote the designs of the corporation.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That said corporation shall have
the power to purchase, lease or otherwise acquire and hold
real and personal property in Anne Arundel and Prince
George's counties, such property to be used and applied by it
for the uses of said corporation consistent with the provisions
of this Act, and to sell and dispose of the same, and perform
all acts consistent with this Act and the laws of the State ;
provided, however, that the property to be held by said cor-
poration, at any time, shall not exceed in value twenty thou-
sand dollars.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
