LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CH AP. 547.

in Myersville, in Frederick county, to some point on the line
dividing the county of Washington from the county of Fred-
erick, with the power of condemnation as provided in the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, Article 23, title
"Corporations," sub-title "Railroad Companies."

Authorized to
buy, lease or
consolidate
with
Frederick
and Middle-
town R. R. Co.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said Myers-
ville and Catoctin Railway Company is hereby authorized and
empowered to buy, lease to or consolidate with the Frederick
and Middletown Railway Company, a body corporate of the
State of Maryland, or its successors or assigns, the Hagers-
town Railway Company of Washington county, Maryland, or
its successors or assigns, the Hagerstown and Boonsboro Rail-
way Company, or its successors and assigns, and to connect or
enter into traffic agreement with said railroads or railways, and
to sell to any other railroad or railway.

May carry
passengers,
parcels, etc .

SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That the said Myersville
and Catoctin Railway Company, its lessees or assigns, be and
they are hereby authorized and empowered to carry packages,
parcels and freight on said railway and its extensions and
connections, and to charge such rates as compensation therefor
as the board of directors may from time to time determine.

Bonds
to be Issued.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the board of
directors of the said Myersville and Catoctin Railway Com-
pany shall have power to issue, in the name of said company,
bonds in such amount as the board of directors may deem
necessary for the purposes of said railway and its extensions,
to secure the payment of the same by mortgage of all or any
part of the property, rights, franchises, tolls and revenues of
said company, and that the mortgage and the bonds heretofore
issued and executed by the said Myersville and Catoctin Rail-
way Company are hereby approved and confirmed.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 549.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 211 of the Acts of 1894, relating
to the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors in the village
of Surrattsville, in Prince George's County, or at any place
nearer than two miles in every direction from said village
of Surrattsville.

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That chapter 211 of the Acts of 1894, be and the
same is hereby repealed.
