and fifty cents; J. A. Fowler, the sum of eight dollars; J. L.
McGrea, the sum of two hundred and eighty-three dollars and
twenty-three cents; J. W. Fugsley, the sum of one thousand
and fifty three dollars and forty-nine cents; Campbell-Zell
Company, the sum of three hundred and fifty-nine dollars and
thirty-eight cents; J. Frank Eline, the sum of seven hundred
and twelve dollars; and to Wm. E. Wood Company, the sum
of fifty-five dollars and ninety-one cents.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 541.
AN ACT to encourage the killing of hawks in Prince
George's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

CHAP. 541.


Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Prince
George's County be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to pay to every person who is a citizen or taxpayer of
said county the sum of thirty cents for each hawk head pro-
duced by him before a justice of the peace of said county and
who shall present to said commissioners a certificate to the
effect from said justice of the peace.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That before giving said certifi-
cate it shall be the duty of the said justice giving it to require
the person producing said hawk head to make oath that he
killed said hawk, and it shall also be the duty of said justice
to destroy by burning each and every hawk head presented as
aforesaid ; and each and every justice of the peace of said
county shall make on or before the first Monday in March in
each and every year a sworn report to said County Commis-
sioners as to the manner in which said hawk heads were
destroyed, attested by two witnesses who saw the said burning.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the fee of the said
justice of the peace for every certificate and destruction of
the hawk heads shall be twenty-five cents, to be paid by the
County Commissioners of Prince George's County.
SEC. 4. That this Act shall take effect from the date of its
passage.
