WHEREAS, By said collision said schooner was greatly
damaged, involving a great loss to the owners thereof, and it
is right and proper that said owners should be paid for the
actual and bona fide loss growing out of said collision ;
therefore,

CHAP. 607.
Preamble

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller of the State be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon the '
State Treasurer in favor of said William Moore and John
Sterling, owners of said schooner " Bessie L. Leach," for the
sum of one hundred and fifty-eight dollars and eighty-nine
cents, for pay and indemnity for losses sustained by said
owners, as disclosed by the preamble of this Act.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 11, 1902.

CHAPTER 508.
AN ACT to repeal Section 27 of Article 56 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Licenses," sub-title
"Hawkers and Peddlers," and Section 28 of same Article,
as the same was repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 333 of
the Acts of 1894, so far as the said Sections apply to Cecil
County, and to add two new sections to Article 8 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Cecil
County," under the new sub-title "Licenses to Hawkers and
Peddlers," to follow Section 178, and to be designated as
Sections 178 A and 178 B.

Maryland, That section 56 of the Code of Public General

Repeal.

Laws of Maryland, title "Licenses," sub-title "Hawkers and
Peddlers," and section 28 of the same Article, as the same
was repealed and re-enacted by chapter 333 of the Acts of
1894, be and the said sections are hereby repealed so far as the
same apply to Cecil county, and that two new sections be and
the same are hereby enacted and added to Article 8 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Cecil County,"
under the new sub-title "Licenses to Hawkers and Peddlers,"
to follow section 178, to be designated as sections 178 A and
178 B, and to read as follows :

178 A. No hawker or peddler shall buy for sale out of the
county, or buy to trade, barter or sell, or offer to trade, barter
