CHAP. 608.

License must
be taken out.

or sell within Cecil county any goods, wares or merchandise
iuntil he shall have first taken out a license for that purpose;
but nothing in this section shall apply to hawkers and peddlers
of oysters and fish in their un preserved and natural condition,
or of fruits and vegetables perishable in their nature, that are
sold in their natural condition in Cecil county by the grower
or growers thereof.

License fee to
be paid.

178 B. For every such license there shall- be paid to the clerk
of the Circuit Court for Cecil county the following rates, viz:
For every license to travel on foot, the sum of one hundred
dollars ; to travel with a horse or other beasts of burden and
wagon or other vehicle, the sum of one hundred and fifty
dollars; with two horses or other beasts of burden and
wagon or other vehicle, the sum of two hundred dollars, except
that for every license to trade, barter or sell fruits or vegetables
perishable in their nature, that are sold in their natural condi-
tion in Cecil county, the sum of twenty-five dollars shall be

paid. Any person violating the provisions of this and the
preceding section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction before a justice of the peace shall be
fined not more than one hundred dollars nor less than twenty-
five dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 509.
AN ACT to add a new Section to Article two of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," "County
Commissioners," to follow immediately after Section 126,
and to be designated as Section 126 A, so as to give the
County Commissioners power to preserve order and decorum
during the session.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and the same is hereby
added to Article two of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Anne Arundel County," sub-title "County Commissioners,"
to follow immediately after section 126, and to be designated
as section 126 A.

misdemeanor

126 A. Every person who shall profanely curse or swear or
act in a disorderly manner in the office of the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel County while said commissioners
are in session shall he deemed to be guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof before a justice of the peace,whose
