CHAPTER 374.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel County to appropriate annually a
sum of money for the maintenance of an Emergency
Hospital at Annapolis, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
county be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
appropriate a sum of money annually, not to exceed five hun-
dred dollars in any one year, for the maintenance and support
of an Emergency Hospital at Annapolis, and under such
terms and conditions as the said County Commissioners shall
see fit to impose.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 375.
AN ACT to repeal Section 196 C of Article 20 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County," Bub-title
"Oysters," as enacted by Chapter 18 of the Acts of 1898,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 196 o of Article 20 of the Code of

"Oysters," as enacted by chapter 18 of the Acts of 1898, be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows :

196 C. Any person or persons or body corporate violating
the provisions of the above section shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction before a justice of the peace
of the Circuit Court shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not
less than fifty dollars nor more than $200 for each and every
offense and shall stand committed to the county jail for sixty
days or until said tine and costs are paid ; and the title or pre-
tended title of said person to said location or attempted location
shall be, upon his conviction, at once become null and void ;
but if said person shall have improved said lot to the value of
