CHAP. 38.

this Act shall be null and void, otherwise to be and remain in

CHAPTER 38.
AN ACT to extend the privileges, enlarge the powers and
amend the charter of the Sykesville Bank of Carroll County,
so as to enable it to loan money on or purchase promissory
and negotiable notes, bills obligatory or other evidences
of debt.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the Sykesville Bank of Carroll County be
and the same is hereby authorized and empowered to loan
money on or when it deems it desirable to purchase promissory
and negotiable notes, bills obligatory or other evidences of debt.

Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "Carroll
County," sub-title "County Commissioners," to be designated
as Section 22 B, relating to the taxation of savings banks,
institutions or corporations organized for receiving deposits
of money and paying interest tliereon, located in the city
of Westminster in said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That an additional section be and the same is
hereby enacted and added to article 7 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "Carroll County," sub-title
"County Commissioners," to be designated as section 22 B,

paying interest thereon, located in the city of Westminster in
