LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 362.
Preamble.

WHEREAS, In pursuance of the provisions of chapter 298
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, Session
1900. the Board of Public Works and a special committee of
the Mayor, Counsellor and Alderman of the city of Annap-
olis awarded to George Jewel I the contract for paving the
drive way around Stare circle and the beds of portions of
certain streets surrounding the Governor's mansion, the pave-
ment to be laid with vitrified brick, mock block, at a cost of
$2. 05 per square yard, all of which will more fully appear by
certificate of the minutes of the Board of Public Works
hereto attached; and
WHEREAS, Said work was satisfactorily performed as is
shown by the report of the special committee having the
matter in charge, which report has been duly tiled with the
Comptroller, a copy of which report is hereto attached; and
WHEREAS, The total cost of said work was fourteen thou-
sand five hundred and ninety-four dollars and eighty-one
cents and the appropriation for said work by said chapter 298
of the Acts of 1900 was only twelve thousand dollars, and
there is now. a balance due George Jewell of two thousand
five hundred and ninety-four dollars and eighty-one cents
therefore,
SECTION 1. Me it enacted by the General Assembly of

Warrant to
be issued.

Maryland, That the Comptroller of the State be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant on the
Treasurer of the State in favor of George Jewell for the sum
of two thousand five hundred and ninety-four dollars and
eighty-one cents in payment of the amount due him by the
State.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
Approved April 8, 1902.

CHAPTER 363.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Central Trust Company,
a body corporate, existing by virtue of the Act of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1898, Chapter 461,
entitled an Act to incorporate the Central States Banking
and Trust Company, and an Act of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1900, Chapter 528, amendatory thereof, under
which the name of said Central States Banking and Trust
Company was changed to the Central Trust Company, and
other additional amendments were made, by providing that
