to shoot or kill any wild ducks, geese, brant or swan in the
waters of this county within three miles of the shore line of Mid-
dle and Lower Hoopers Island without having obtained permis-
sion of the owner or owners of the land bordering on the waters
where said person or persons desire to shoot. And any per-
son not a taxpayer or bona fide resident convicted by any
justice of the peace of said county for shooting or killing
any wild ducks, geese, brant, or swan without such permission
shall be fined twenty-five dollars and costs, and on failure to
pay said tine of twenty-five dollars the offender shall be com-
mitted to the house of correction or the county jail for not less
than ten nor more than thirty days for each offense. In the case
of conviction of any person for violation of the provisions of
this section, one-half of all the fines imposed and collected
shall be paid to the person procuring said conviction and the
other half of said tines shall be paid into the free school
treasury of Dorchester county for the use of said schools.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 356.
AN ACT to incorporate the town of Midland, Allegany
county, by amending the Code of Public Local Laws,
Artcle 1, title "Allegany County," by adding two Sections
under the new sub-title "Midland," to follow Section No.
184, and to be designated respectively as Sections 184 A and
184 B.

CHAP. 36C.
Game law.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the following sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Allegany County," under the new sub-title "Midland," to
follow section No. 184, and to be designated respectively as
sections No. 184 A and 184 B.

Section 184 A. The inhabitants in the town of Midland in
Allegany county are a corporation by the name of The Mayor
and Council of Midland, and by that name may have perpetual
succession, may sue and be sued and may have and use a com-
mon seal, which may be altered at pleasure, and may purchase
and hold such real, personal or mixed property as may be
required for the purposes of said corporation, and may dispose
of such property, when necessary, for the benefit of said cor-
poration, and all the property and funds of every kind
belonging to said corporation are vested in the Mayor and
Council of Midland.
