every year, and the County Commissioners shall allow said
assessors so appointed as compensation therefor one dollar and
fifty cents for every thousand dollars' worth of property so
returned.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 312.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to defray the
expenses of the Joint Committee appointed by the General
Assembly of 1902 to confer with a similar Committee
appointed by the General Assembly of Virginia.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sum of one thousand dollars, or so much

thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appro-
priated out of any funds in the treasury not otherwise appro-
priated, to defray the expenses of the joint committee of the
Senate and House of Delegates, appointed under joint resolu-
tion No. 6 of the session of 1902.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Comptroller be
and he is hereby directed to issue his warrant upon the Treas-
urer of the State in favor of Hon. Charles S. Grason, or to
any other member of said joint committee authorized by a
majority of said committee to receive the same, for said sum
hereby appropriated, to be applied to defray the expenses
referred to in the preceding section.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Board of Public
Works and the commander of the State Fishery Force be and
they are hereby directed to place at the disposal and for the
use of said joint committee, when requested by said committee,
one of the vessels of the State Fishery Force.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to provide for an additional Justice of the Peace
in the Third Election District of Harford County.

SECTION 1.Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
