CHAP. 310.

New section
added.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Queen
Anne's County," new sub-title "County Treasurer," be and
the same is hereby amended by adding a new section thereto,
to be known as section 133 G, to read as follows, and repealing
all laws inconsistent therewith :

furnished.

Section 133 G. That the county treasurers succeeding the
present treasurer shall each furnish all stamps and stationery
he may require, and each shall receive an annual salary of

eighteen hundred dollars, and the further sum of twenty-five
cents for each person's property assessed by him, and all checks
hereafter drawn by any county treasurer shall be counter-
signed by the president of the Board of County Commis-
sioners, and when so countersigned shall be conclusive as to
the bank on which it is drawn and paying same, that a proper
warrant has issued therefor ; and all laws inconsistent with
the provisions of this section are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 311.

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article twelve of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Garrett County," sub-title
"County Commissioners," to follow immediately after
Section 41, and to be known and designated as Section 41 A.

added.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an additional section be added to Article
twelve of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Garrett County," sub-title "County Commissioners," to follow
immediately after Section 41, and to be known and desig-
nated as section 41 A, so as to read as follows :

Assessors to
be appointed

Section 41 A. Be it enacted, That the Board of County
Commissioners of Garrett county shall appoint at their first
meeting in May, in each and every year, one assessor from
each election district of Garrett county, who shall continue to
hold said office for one year from his appointment, and it shall
be the duty of said assessors to inform themselves by all
lawful means of all property, stocks or investments in their
respective election districts in said county liable to taxation,
and not included in the list upon the books of the County
Commissioners, and they shall value the same at the full cash
value thereof, and make return thereof to the County Com-
missioners on or before the first day of March in each and
